Who is behind BIG JURIJ?

In 2018, the two partners Michael Nagel and Donat Reinschmidt faced the problem in their workshop of having to process 21 tons of flat steel into flat steel railings.

Because our customers have high quality standards, it was necessary to inspect and straighten every piece of flat steel. In this project, processing the flat steel took three months, during which our employee Jurij M. had to carry out his straightening work with the utmost care and precision.

In early 2019, a team of engineers and master craftsmen developed and built the prototype of the BIG JURIJ. It was completed in April, and the straightening machine was put through its paces in its very first project, using 19 tons of flat steel for railings.

BIG JURIJ embodies the expertise of Holl Stahlbau from Stutensee near Karlsruhe. Non-destructive, precise, fast, clean and quiet – that's BIG JURIJ.

Flat Steel Straightening Machine BIG JURIJ

The BIG JURIJ series covers a wide range of materials to be straightened. Depending on the size and shape, the appropriate machine can be selected, such as the BIG JURIJ XL, which can be specially adapted for materials with customer-specific shapes, or the BIG JURIJ L-Premium, which can straighten not only flat steel but also round and square materials.

The BIG JURIJ is designed to save a step in the production process, not to create a new one. This means, for example, that the employee operating the saw can also immediately begin straightening, thereby making optimal use of their time at the saw.

Operation is simple and can be learned by any employee in a short amount of time. Only one employee is required for the entire straightening process.

The machine is not stationary; thanks to its size and the included transport frame, it is very flexible to use.

Advantages include improved material quality, higher production efficiency, and a reduction in material waste.

The robust and simple design, without many technical gadgets, provides an ideal basis for use in the production of metalworking shops.

The quality demands of clients who purchase the final product, such as flat steel railings, are now so high that there is no way around it; every single bar must be straightened. Using a straightening machine offers a decisive advantage in terms of straightening time and thus also cost-effectiveness.
